Prayer for the graduates of the Class of 2024

Updated: Jul 17

Graduates pose in their regalia.
Class of 2024

This prayer for graduates incorporates school-wide, senior and class memorization passages from scripture, literature and other sources.

Almighty God, Maker of Heaven and Earth and of the minds, bodies and souls of these graduates…

We come here today to recognize what You have accomplished in their lives. We give thanks for the parents, grandparents, administrators, teachers and friends You have bought alongside them to help them reach this accomplishment.

May Evie Bragg, Annsley Bruner, Brooke Castner, Ansleigh Whiten and Hanna Williamson remember the great things You have done in and through them to this day. May they remember that You alone are the truth and life for which they were created and that no one comes to the Father except through You.

May these graduates remember they were not born winners or losers, but choosers and may they choose this day and each day after to serve and love you with all of their heart, soul and mind. May they not lean on their own understanding, but in all their ways acknowledge You that You might make their paths straight.

May these precious young ladies boldly go after dreams that are destined to fail without Divine intervention.

May they remember that YOU alone are the source of all TRUTH, BEAUTY and GOODNESS and may they be keepers of Your truth in their hearts, minds and souls and for their generation.

May they live in light of eternity and when their life on this earth comes to an end may they enter fully into Your presence and hear You say:

Against revolted multitudes the cause of truth.” 'Paradise Lost' (1667) bk. 6, l. 29

It is in Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.
